This was the very first cake I ordered from the original Marietta "Cake Lady", Mary Moon. We now bake it using real butter. It's a golden color when we take it out of the oven. Glazing it while it's still HOT with our fresh lemon juice & sugar glaze gives it just the right crust. Some of our customers request extra lemon glaze. Mouthwatering by itself; toast it with butter or serve it with fresh fruit!

A white chocolate layer cake that is filled and frosted with sautéed buttered pecans mixed with cream cheese icing
Starting with our buttery, yellow layer again, we frost it with a cooked caramel frosting. Sugar is melted to an amber colored liquid, cream is added at just the right moment, then more sugar, butter, real vanilla and cooked to just the right temperature; then beaten to spreading consistency. Lots of things have to go "right" to make this frosting like our Grandmothers used to make. You'll search far and wide to find "homemade" caramel frosting
3 layers of finely grated carrots, chopped pecans with just the right spice, sugar, eggs and flour; then frosted with cream cheese and toasted pecans move this American standard to high on our customers' popularity list. Always freshly baked from "scratch" takes the "ho-hum” out of this carrot cake

This is actually a layer cake not a cheesecake. An old Southern tradition of filling & frosting a buttery yellow layer with a lemon curd (we make our own from fresh egg yolks, lemon juice & zest, butter and sugar slowly cooked over a water bath until smooth and yummy. My 94 year Aunt LaNell's favorite. Another family tradition.
