Find your <a href=\"http:\/\/openmenu.com\/help\/what-are-the-different-openmenu-urls-for-my-restaurant\/\">restaurant&#8217;s website at OpenMenu<\/a> &#8211; have a <a href=\"http:\/\/openmenu.com\/help\/creating-a-vanity-url-vanity-id-for-your-restaurant\/\">Vanity ID<\/a> at OpenMenu?<\/p>\n<p><em>note: This URL is only live once you&#8217;ve <a href=\"http:\/\/openmenu.com\/help\/when-how-do-i-submit-my-openmenu\/\">submitted<\/a> your OpenMenu and it was approved.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>2. Log into your Domain Registrar&#8217;s account<\/p>\n<p>3. Select the domain names you want to forward<\/p>\n<p>4. Click Forward, and then select Forwarding Domains<\/p>\n<p>5. Click Add Forwarding<\/p>\n<p>6. Enter the URL to your website on OpenMenu (URL identified in step #1)<\/p>\n<p>7. Optional Settings (redirect type and masking)<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Redirect Type:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>301 <\/strong>(Permanent) &#8211; Tells user-agents (including search engines) that the location has permanently moved. <em><strong>***this is what you want for SEO***<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>302<\/strong> (Temporary)<strong> &#8211;<\/strong> Tells user-agents (including search engines) that the location has temporarily moved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Masking:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Forward Only<\/strong> &#8211; Forwards the user to the OpenMenu URL which will appear in the browser bar.\u00a0 The user will see that OpenMenu.com is the URL for your restaurant.\u00a0 This is most compatible with browsers and the user experience (especially when SSL [secure connections] are used).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Forward with Masking<\/strong><strong> &#8211;<\/strong> Forwards the user to the OpenMenu URL allowing your domain to show in the browser bar.\u00a0 May have issues with secure connections (SSL).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>8.
